KN Marketing Solutions(“KN,” “we,” “us”) runs knmarketingsolutions.com. This page explains what information we collect on our site, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Site chat (Porch Mug, our AI assistant)
Our site has a chat assistant called Porch Mug. It is an AI assistant, not a person. If you use it, we collect:
- Your name
- Your business name
- Your contact details, such as email and phone number
- The full text of your conversation
- A scrambled code made from your IP address (a “salted hash”), not the address itself
We use this information to answer your question and to follow up on your inquiry. We do not use it for anything unrelated to your inquiry without asking you first.
Our chat is run with help from these vendors:
- Vercel hosts our website. Like most web hosts, it keeps server logs, which can include things like your IP address, browser type and the pages you asked for.
- Vercel AI Gatewaypasses each chat message to Google Gemini, the AI model that writes Porch Mug's replies.
- Supabase stores the full chat transcript, the scrambled IP code and your contact details in our database.
- Resend sends notification emails to our team about new chats and inquiries. Some of these emails include the phone number you shared.
Booking
Booking runs on our own /book page. When you book a strategy session there, you pick a time and share your contact details. We use them to confirm your session, send you a confirmation email and calendar hold, and prepare for the call. KN keeps your booking details to schedule and confirm your session. Each booking is saved in our Supabase database, along with your browser type (called the user agent) and the page you came from (called the referrer). We do not store your IP address with your booking.
Our own site code may also record campaign tags (such as UTM codes) and ad click IDs when you arrive from an ad, and it may log page events, such as which pages you viewed before you booked. This helps us understand how people find us. It is our own code, not a separate analytics tool.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see how people use our site, such as which pages they visit and how they found us. This helps us improve the site. Google Analytics collects information like your device type, browser, rough location and the pages you view. It does not give us your name. Google Analytics is the only outside analytics tool we use.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We don't show a cookie banner, so here is what our site uses.
Google Analytics (GA4) sets cookies, such as ones named “_ga,” that tell it whether you have visited before and help it count visits. These cookies do not tell us who you are. Our site may also use your browser's storage to make features work, such as the chat.
You can opt out in two ways:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
- Install Google's free opt-out add-on for your browser: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
How long we keep information
We keep chat and lead information for 12 months. After that, we delete it, unless you have become a client and we need it to serve you.
How we protect information
We use trusted vendors and limit who on our team can see your information. No website or online service can promise perfect protection, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
We don't sell your personal data
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the vendors listed above (Vercel, Google, Supabase and Resend), so they can help us run our site and respond to you, or when the law requires it.
Your choices: access and deletion
You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email us at hello@knmarketingsolutions.com. We will reply within 10 business days.
Children
Our site is meant for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is big, we will make it clear on the site.
